Aspen Colorado ski resorts are amongst the oldest and most popular in the region, the most well known one had been on Ajax Mountain. It was established back in 1947 with what at the time was the longest ski lift in the world. Another nearby ski resort is the Aspen Highlands.

The nearby resort of Aspen Highlands is generally preferred by beginners, although it also has some expert slopes. If it’s a thrill you seek, you might want to explore Snowmass, a huge area about 12 miles outside of Aspen. It’s over 4,500 feet high and has 94 funs total. The time it takes to travel the 12 miles from Aspen to Snowmass is roughly the amount of time it can take to skin down some of the longer runs of Snowmass.
