Maintaining the correct amount of swimming pool chemicals in your water is the answer to a healthy swimming pool. Algae growth will be minium and the water not turn green and will look clean and clear.

Water tends to stay clean during the winterl, even though very little has been done to the swimming pool. Hardly ever the pool turns green during the winter time and algae do not appear. If algae do occur the growth is very slow, but doesn’t mean you shouldn’t use the chemicals keep using the swimming pool chemicals so that when the spring comes your pool is ready for use.

How many times a month should I use the pool chemicals?

Use the pool chemicals two times every month to deal with algae and dead bacteria. Even after the filtering process you should still use the chemicals. Filtering process cleans most of the waste materials but not all of them, the remaining one can cause damage to your eyes and skin.

How do I test my pool?

To measure the acidity use pH level to test your pool. The balance of the ph levels need to be stable for Chlorine to work properly. After this the pool filtering system will keep the water crystal clear and healthy. Sanitiser and Alkalinity can also be used to test your swimming pools.

Some people have also asked me if there is a chemical that changes colour when someone pees in the pool. The answer to that would be no, there are no such chemicals. Dyes can be used to change the colour of the water but not chemicals.

After the chemicals have been applied in the pool cover the swimming pool with swimming pool covers , this will ensure the water stays clear and your pool is ready for use anytime.
