The Osprey Talon 22 backpack is a lightweight and very versatile backpack. It’s smaller than some of the other models, handling loads of up to twenty-five pounds or so. The features of this backpack make it unique and apart from others. The AirScape back panel has molded foam and a mesh covered ridge for comfort and stability. The air channels permits your back’s surface to breathe, and the weight rests so comfortably. The pack has terrific structural support, which is helped by its backpanel of high-density foam. It can be entirely adjusted for a custom fit, and it simply takes seconds to adjust the pack harness length, to allow for the finest fit.

The shoulder straps and hip belt on the Osprey Talon 22 backpack are mesh covered to make them more supportive and comfortable, and they promote proper ventilation. The zippered hip pockets are finished from stretch mesh, and you’ll locate pockets of stretch energy gel on the pack’s shoulder straps to provide you uncomplicated access to items you need frequently.

The Talon 22 has a sternum strap with three positions, so it can be altered down or up, to wherever it feels most secure to you. The load lifter straps will allow you to adjust the weight so that it’s more on your hips or shoulders, for proper balance. The waist straps pull from the hip belt’s bottom and top, to offer you better comfort. A retainer keeps the waist strap from flapping around.

You’ll be hydrated more easily by using the external, top-loading bladder. It won’t impede with any gear you have stowed in the major section, either. The bladder is secured with a quick-release strap, to keep it from sagging. The sleeve will fit a 128 ounce bladder. The main zippered compartment has a pocket inside that is handy for a headlamp, battery pack or MP3 player. The second zippered compartment will keep all of your gear organized and separate.

The Osprey Talon 22 hiking backpack has stuff-it rear pockets and side pockets made from a stretch woven material. You can fine-tune your load’s volume with the compression straps, and you’ll find the bungee loops practical for trekking poles, so you can attach them to the backpack without stopping to get the pack off. The Talon 22 also has reflective patches so that you are visible even in low light, so you can hike whenever you want to.
