His love for biking was starting to over take him and everyone knew that it was only a matter of time before he left the job again. Jim had entered into several races before and knew that he wanted to enter into them again, but the issue that he was having was that his boss was not letting him have any time off to go racing.

He walked into his bosses office and threw down his letter of resignation. He finally had enough money saved up to get that mongoose mountain bike he had been eyeing for several months now. That bike was the one that he was going to use to ride to the races finish lines all the time. He knew that when he got that he could start racing with that bike, but the job would have to go.

As he opened the letter and seen what it was Jims boss started asking him to reconsider and that he would do anything that he could to keep him there. Jim decided to see how far his boss was willing to go and asked him to give him free vacation time and a pair of diamondback bikes. Jims boss agreed to that which shocked Jim tremendously. He was so shocked that he told his boss he would have to think it over before he could tell him if he would stay or not.

Jim mulled this point over and tried to figure out if the deal would be worth it or not. He told his boss that he would think it over. He knew that the extra money that his boss was offering him would do some wonderful things and could cover all his entrance fees into races. However, he also wanted to get it in writing that they were going to allow him to have all the time off that he needed.

Jim decided that he would stay at the job if his boss would put it in writing the promise of time off for the races, but also that he would get the bikes. He explained that to his boss and he shook his head and motioned for the secretary to jot the notes down. She wrote them down and then all three of them signed the papers each one getting a copy of the note with the original going to Jim.

As he left the office building for the day he was happy with the results. He had the promises in writing and knew that he could do what he wanted. So he headed over to the tattoo fever parlor and had a tattoo of his new bike put onto his back.

The tattoo did not really cost him as much as he thought it was going to. So he still had enough money to go the bike shop to look for the model that he wanted to own. As he walked out of the store later that night he knew that he had made the proper choice in the one model. He also knew that he was going to be able to win some races after he got back into racing shape.
