In their hunger for a better game, golfers will try just about anything.  Some focus not just on their game but on winning.

Hypnotic methods have become a “secret weapon” for some winning players.  It really works to develop concentration and clarity.

There’s a darker aspect of hypnosis that I have to let you know about.

It’s great to use hypnosis to improve your own game, but some competitive types go farther and, how to put it delicately, “help” their opponents by implanting suggestions.

When someone uses hypnosis this way, an adversary who may be may find themselves mysteriously shanking the ball, spending a lot of time in the rough, making poor club choices, deciding to try to carry the water when they shouldn’t, or making a lot other such missteps.

There are innumerable times over the course of 18 holes where a golfer makes choices that affect their performance.

Not only that, but the difference between a great shot and a poor one is minuscule.  The least imperfection ruins a shot and adds at least a stroke.

I’ll leave it to you to decide the ethics of this, but a certain type of hypnosis does give someone the ability to influence another person’s mental state in addition to their decisions.  Some say “All’s fair in love and war”.  Maybe that’s true in golf as well.

No one can actually take over control of someone’s mind.  You can’t make them do anything they find morally offensive.

But someone who knows how is able to issue embedded commands and create doubt and by doing so definitely influence their their game.

You may have played with some character that used tactics like carrying on a mildly heckling conversation while you’re getting set for your tee shot, or moving suddenly at the edge of your field of vision while you’re putting or other things like that to try to put you off your game.

Wouldn’t you like to have a way to repay the favor?  That’s what hypnosis can give you.

Conversational hypnosis works especially well for this type of influence.  Using this method of hypnosis there’s no predetermined script.  You definitely don’t swing a watch in front of the subjects eyes.

Instead you simply, but in certain way.  When you discover how, it’s no problem to induce an “awake trance”.  Then you insert your guidance and embedded commands into the flow of the conservation.  This really is an extremely powerful use of words.

A great benefit of mastering this form of hypnosis to help on the golf course is that once you learn it you can apply it in other areas of your life.

People commonly use hypnosis to improve their relationships, change habits, and attain goals – really for any instance where the power of your subconscious mind could help you.
