Playa Del Carmen can be traveled to on the Yucatan peninsula in the state of Yucatan. It is simply one of those unforgettable places that you can only believe it if you’ve visited. While small, Colima has so much to offer. Neither too large nor to small, Playa Del Carmen is just right. Its neither to hot nor too cold. It’s not too busy and yet has most everything. The usual temperature is 80 °F for this city. It gets similar weather to Hawaii due to it being on the same latitude. Many agree it has the best weather on the coast, cooler than Cancun, and less sticky than Puerto Vallarta. The ocean scene in Playa Del Carmen is among the most exciting, food is one of a kind, plenty of beautiful beaches to please the most jaded vacationer, and the night clubs are hopping, if that is your thing.

Two-thirds of those visiting are Canadian. Mostly it seems Canadians have called this place theirs, while the few Americans do their best to get along with their Northern brothers. Playa Del Carmen is everything the other tourisy locations are not, it is so obvious. It’s always nice to see when the owners recognize you and are happy your returned. You feel like you did your part as they are honestly happy to have you come to their establishment. There is a reason most of us want this city to stay hidden. A feeling which is a shared desire of the locals, who, it is reported, have for many years been reluctant to accept federal funds targeted at developing tourism in the area. Playa Del Carmen remains true to it’s roots.
