Up until then, they were sharing the ownership with a few other companies but with Disney’s involvement, The Angels baseball team had to be renamed as Anaheim Angels. With  all the disappointments and thumbs downs by their fans The Angels moved on with the energy powered by Disney. 2002 registered as the year won their first world title. The name was again changed to Los Angeles Angels after Angels baseball took over the ownership from Disney.
